From Tyne and Wear and south:

Take A1 north from Newcastle and continue beyond Morpeth

Turn left on to the A697 signposted Coldstream

Continue through Longhorsley and after a long downhill stretch take the left turn for Rothbury on the B6341

Then follow directions from Rothbury given below.


From West:

Follow A69 from Carlisle

Turn left onto A68 for 18.8 miles

Turn right onto B6320 for 1.6 miles

Turn right onto A696 for 0.7 miles

Bear left onto B6341  and pass Wallington Hall

Continue for
for approx 8 miles

After Hepple and Flotterton t
urn left (signposted Burradon and Warton)

This is a narrow single track road where passing other vehicles can be difficult. Continue until you reach the village of Burradon. Laird's Cottage is the last house on the LHS just before you take a sharp left to leave the village.

 
From Rothbury:

Continue through Rothbury, through Thropton and about 1 mile beyond Thropton turn right (signposted Burradon and Warton)
